The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to our young patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being during their medical treatment. Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for pediatric patients. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Perform IV insertion and manage intravenous therapies. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans. Educate patients and their families on health management, family planning, and preventive care. Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth. Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient conditions promptly. Provide support in a Level II Trauma Center setting, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Participate in health coaching initiatives to promote wellness among pediatric patients. Engage in laboratory procedures as necessary to assist with patient diagnostics. Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Experience working in pediatrics or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in IV insertion techniques and familiarity with hospital medicine practices. Knowledge of anatomy and coding for proper documentation of patient care. Previous experience in geriatrics or family planning is a plus but not required. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
