Richardson Medical Center 254 Highway 3048, Rayville, LA 71269 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team for our KIDMED program. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, support medical staff, and ensure the well-being of patients in various settings. This role requires a strong commitment to patient advocacy, clinical excellence, and effective communication with both patients and their families. A KidMed nurse in a rural health clinic primarily focuses on the KIDMED program and providing pediatric care, including screenings, immunizations, and health education. The nurse ensures children receive necessary preventative care and manages their medical records, while also assisting with other clinical duties as needed. Duties Assess and monitor patient health status through comprehensive evaluations. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Provide education and support to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment options. Administers the KIDMED program, including screenings, immunizations, and other preventative services. Maintains records of screening and immunization history. Educates parents and children about the KIDMED program and its benefits. Engage in occupational health assessments and provide care for various age groups, including toddlers. Utilize electronic health record Skills Proficiency in medical documentation practices to ensure accurate patient records. Knowledge of the KIDMED program and its guidelines. Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
