RN – PACU
– Local Contract 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars Hyannis, MA WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Post Anesthesia Nurse for a contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Hyannis, MA.
Job Function :
Day Shift. 5×8. Provides individualized, emotionally supportive post-operative nursing care in accordance with instructions from the anesthesiologist and/or attending physician. Documents all nursing activities and completes a discharge note once the anesthesiologist determines the patient is ready for transfer to the progressive recovery room. Ensures all necessary equipment and supplies are properly stocked and readily available. Monitors and records patients’ vital signs and level of consciousness in accordance with nursing procedures.
Job Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts. 2 years of acute Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing experience required. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association. Pre-op, pediatric, and ICU experience required. Travel nursing experience preferred.
