Staff Nurse (RN) Position Available In Berkshire, Massachusetts

The staff RN is a registered, professional nurse who is responsible forproviding individualized nursing care for a specific group of patients.

The staff RN has knowledge of and utilizes appropriate patient careprotocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of thepatient population served. The nurse coordinates care in collaborationwith the patient, family, nurses, peers, physicians and allied healthcare providers. Assumes responsibility for the outcome of nursing caredelivered.

• Experience:

• Previous experience preferred.

• Educationand Training:

• Associate’s Degree in nursing required
• BSNpreferred.

• License, Certification & Registration:

• RN License,currently licensed as an RN in Massachusetts.
• CPR•PALS•PediatricAdvanced Life Support preferred.
• ACLS required within one year.
• IVQualifications Required

• PEARS:

  Pediatric Emergency Assessment andStabilization required within one year of hire.

• AdditionalRequirements:

• Ability to function independently under general guidanceof the Director and follows the guidelines and protocols and/or policiesand protocols specific to each unit.

Duties require independent actionand judgment. Utilizes time management, communication, planning,delegating, and problem solving in providing care. Must possess anddemonstrate critical thinking skills. Must maintain emotional stabilityin emergency settings. Previous Medical/Surgical and Telemetryexperience preferred. Minimum 2 years experience in ED preferred. EDTriage/Cardiac Room experience preferred. PALS

• Pediatric Advanced LifeSupport required within one year of hire.

CPR ACLS

required within threemonths of hire. IV Qualifications required within six months of hire.
