RegisteredNurse is the designation given to an individual who is licensed topractice professional nursing, holds ultimate responsibility for directand indirect nursing care, is a graduate of an approved school forprofessional nursing, and is currently licensed as a Registered Nursepursuant to M.G.L. c.112. Included in such responsibility is providingnursing care, health maintenance, teaching, counseling, planning andrestoration for optimal functioning and comfort, of those they serve.

The Registered Professional Nurse functions as a health care team leaderresponsible for the safe delivery of patient-centered, goal orientedcare through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementationand evaluation. The Registered Professional Nurse also directs andguides patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel whilemaintaining standards of professional nursing.###### Position Qualifications

• Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Has athorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures.
• Education
• Associates Degree in Nursing. BSN preferred.

• License, Credentials:

• RN License-Current Massachusetts RN License required
• CPR•Additionalqualifications and requirements may apply depending on the specificposition and department.

• Additional Requirements
• Demonstratescontinuing education in accordance with State regulations.
• Assurescompliance with unit-specific scope of practice.
• Must be able to speakthe English language in an understandable manner.
• Must possesssight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses tofunction adequately so the requirements of the position can be fullymet.
