Elliot Hospital’s Women’s andChildren’s Services are dedicated to addressing the specific healthand wellness needs of women and their children. Options for Laborand Delivery include nitrous oxide, epidural anesthesia, surgicalsafety compliant with World Health Organization guidelines forcesarean births and more. On average, there are 150-180 deliveriesper month, 10 beds with 2 ORs and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3.About the

Job:

The Registered Nurse in Labor and Deliveryparticipates in high and low risk intrapartum and antepartum womenas well as receive women in transfer for high-risk complications ofpregnancy.

What You’ll Do:

• Embraces and promotes change tosupport optimal patient outcomes and an effective professionalpractice environment.
• Involves patient/family in goal setting andplanning, and communicates that plan of care to patient and familyfor input; and to colleagues to ensure seamless care across shiftsand settings.
• Utilizes current evidence and relevantnational/specialty standards to guide practice and/or performanceand identifies areas for improvement.
• Demonstrates competentclinical practice utilizing clinical decision making and criticalthinking skills.

Who You Are:

• Graduate of an accredited school ofnursing (ASN or BSN
• BSN preferred)
• Current New Hampshire,compact, or multistate licensure as Registered Nurse required
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period andmaintain during employment
• ACLS preferred
