Responsible for the provision of preventative and emergencyhealth services and wellness education to students. Ensuresconfidentiality of sensitive information and compliance with allHIPAA laws. May serve as Health & Wellness Director (if allowedunder local state practice law). Assists in the supervision andmanagement of the Wellness Services Department and subcontractedwellness services including mental health, dental and medicalservices. o Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures andensures no manipulation of student data. o Responsibility to assistin the supervision and management the Wellness Department andstaff. o Ensures Center establishes and maintains Memorandums ofUnderstandings with local hospitals and wellness related communityresources. o Compiles and submits all required reports and plansper DOL/Corporate policy when directed. o Ensures adequate staffcoverage to meet the needs and requirements of the studentpopulation. o Oversight and management of the wellness budget inconjunction with the Wellness Director to identify and securecost-saving measures. o Acts as Center liaison with local agenciesfor purchasing applicable third-party health insurance forstudents, coordinating health services, environmental healthinspections and other health-related issues. o Evaluates studenthealth issues and concerns and makes referrals as appropriate. oMaintains and revises current health care guidelines to ensurequality and effective wellness services to students. o Coordinatesand oversees the chronic condition case management programs. oComplies with local and federal guidelines for the administrationof all medications and maintenance of medical records. o Ensuresadequate inventory of medical equipment and supplies. o Works withSafety and Security Department to complete and submit requiredSignificant Incident Reports. o Ensures compliance with HIPPA andother applicable laws and regulations regarding patient privacy andthe maintenance of medical records. o Proactively manages theCenter’s medical separation process and provides students with therequired medical services and referrals to ensure student returnand completion of the Job Corps program. o Participates as anactive member of the Center’s HEALs (Healthy Eating, ActiveLifestyles) Committee. May serve as the chairperson of the HEALsCommittee. o Makes recommendations and assists in filling staffvacancies. Motivates staff to perform his/her job responsibilities,and holds staff accountable for producing quality work. o Providesrequired/supplemental training for new and current employees. oMotivates and manages staff to work effectively, creates asupportive work environment, recognizes staff accomplishments andproactively addresses staff performance concerns. o Mentors,monitors and models the Career Success Standards as required by thePRH. o Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds themaccountable for their actions and behavior. o Provides qualityprograms and services for students and ensures that quality ismaintained and student needs are met. Pursues improvement andenhancement of programs and services. o Exchanges ideas andinformation, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concisemanner and contributes meaningfully to group efforts by offeringrelevant ideas and knowledge. Provides quality and timelyinformation to DOL/Company when requested. o Effectivelyarticulates thoughts and ideas. Identifies problems, analyzescauses and evaluates appropriate solutions prior to taking orrecommending actions. Follows up to ensure prompt/appropriateaction is taken and that problems are in fact corrected. o Works inpartnership with staff from all Departments to ensure effectivesupervision and services are provided to students. o Acceptsdirection and supervision from the Center Director/Health andWellness Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager to includeassignments to temporarily perform job responsibilities of otherdepartments and positions. o Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Minimum of an Associate of Arts degree in nursing.

Active, unrestricted license to practice in state where center islocated. Three years of health care experience, with at least oneyear in a supervisory capacity required.
