About Our Group Our main teamsits at our company headquarters in Savannah, Georgia and haveOccupational Heath Care nurses at our different sites across thecountry. Our nurses are responsible for supporting our employees and theorganization when it comes to FAA and OSHA regulations at eachsite-specific location. About the Role The position is located at ourcompany headquarters in Savannah. The Nurse will be working with a teamof other Occupational Health Nurses and will be assigned to variousbuildings on campus. The work week is a Monday through Friday but mayneed to work outside standard work schedule for an emergency or event asneeded. The day to day consists of managing workers compensation claimswith a 3rd party administrator, FAA drug and alcohol testing, and eyeexams, but is not limited to. Even though this position is a part of alarger organization, this role will be a stand alone at the Westfield,MA site. Person must feel comfortable being autonomous and makingdecisions within the guidelines of the company. Ideal candidate wouldhave around 4-7 years of experience. Occupational nursing experience isa plus. Experience with FAA regulations a plus. Education and ExperienceRequirements Associate’s Degree in health sciences or related fieldrequired. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 4 years general nursingexperience. Occupational Health experience preferred. RegisteredProfessional Nurse in the State of employment.

Position Purpose:

ProvideOccupational Health Care Services according to the Gulfstream MedicalProgram. Coordinate medical services required. for the safety and properplacement of employees, the treatment of work-related illnesses andinjuries, and approved industrial preventative medical programs.

JobDescription Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

Determine real and potential health problems and hazards. Develop andimplement programs to deal with identified health problems and hazards.

Verify health programs comply with federal, state and local regulations.

Evaluate and monitor outcomes. Develop professional rapport withemployees and management. Promote and facilitate continuity of care.

Assist the employee in selecting appropriate and cost-effective healthcare resources. Provide superior nursing care in a professional mannerusing all available resources.

Additional Functions:

Provide physicalexaminations and classifications to assist management in the proper andsafe placement of new and transferred employees and employees returningfrom leave of absence. . Provide for the timely treatment ofwork-related injuries; assists the Safety Department in administeringWorkers Compensation claims and observing Occupational Safety and HealthAct (OSHA) Regulations. . Provide guidance counsel and training tomanagement and employees on medical matters, which affect efficientoperations. . Maintain required. medical records in a confidentialmanner; prepares reports and statistics as required. by management. .Council and assist employees in identifying the need for and seekingoutside medical assistance and to meet physical and emotional needs.

Maintain appropriate inventories of medical and first aid suppliessafely and securely, and ensures that all required. licenses are up todate. . Administer the collection and processing of Corporate and FAAalcohol and drug program. . Explore with management ways to promotewellness. .

Other Requirements:

Certified Occupational Health Nurse(COHN) preferred.
