RN – PACU
– Local Contract 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars Nantucket, MA WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Post Anesthesia Nurse for a contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Nantucket, MA.
Job Function :
Day Shift. 5×8. Provides post-operative nursing care to the patient in an individual, emotionally supportive manner, consistent with any directions or orders given by the anesthesiologist and/or attending physician. Documents all nursing activities and writes a nursing discharge note when the anesthesiologist documents that the patient is ready to be transferred to the progressive recovery room. Ensures that all needed equipment and supplies are stocked and readily available.
Job Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN). Current RN license in the state of Massachusetts required. 2 years of acute PACU RN experience required. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required.
