Port, PIV, PICC, and Midline care; lab draws when needed; Infusions in the home such as: Antibiotics, Immunoglobulins, Alpha-1 Antitrypsins, Enzyme replacements, and more; teaching and training patients when needed such as with Antibiotics, SCIG Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse – Infusion to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, administer infusions, and support patients undergoing various treatments. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient assessment, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Duties Administer intravenous medications and infusions according to established protocols. Conduct thorough patient assessments to monitor response to treatment and identify any adverse reactions. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Educate patients and their families about treatment protocols, potential side effects, and self-care strategies. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. Utilize knowledge of ICD-9 coding for accurate billing and insurance purposes. Ensure adherence to safety protocols while handling medications and equipment. Participate in ongoing education and training related to infusion therapies, including Botulinum toxin treatment. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Experience in infusion therapy or related fields such as Hospital medicine or Emergency room settings is preferred. Familiarity with ophthalmology practices and cardiac catheterization procedures is a plus. Proficient in medical terminology and patient assessment systems. Ability to ventilate patients as necessary during procedures. Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
