Job Description:
UNIT DESCRIPTION
The Birthplace is a 12-bed, private room, labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum unit that includes a nursery staffed by obstetricians, certified nurse midwives, pediatricians, neonatologists and registered nurses. The Unit also has a 2 bed triage and 6 bed postpartum area. Registered nurses are required to demonstrate competent care of the patient in labor, delivery, postpartum and newborn advanced fetal monitoring, breastfeeding education, neonatal resuscitation certification, advanced life support certification, and the OR scrub and circulating roles.
Minimum Requirements:
Current Massachusetts RN license Labor and Delivery experience required Mother/Baby experience required AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required upon hire NRP required Evidence of recent EFM continuing education, or within 3 months of hire
Recommended Requirements:
