Position Overview:
WCA seeks a dedicated Substitute School Nurse to support student health and wellness. The School Nurse will oversee health assessments, manage care plans, maintain health records, and collaborate with staff and families to promote a safe and healthy learning environment.
Qualifications:
RN license in Massachusetts (required).CPR and AED certification (American Heart Association Health Provider level).DESE School Nurse license, preferred.
Ability to pass DESE-mandated CORI and fingerprint background checks.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct healthcare services to students.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
Manage medications and medical supplies according to safety standards.
Implement Individual Health Care Plans and Emergency Action Plans.
Uphold confidentiality and comply with FERPA and HIPAA regulations.
