Clinical Director Location:
MAINE DENTAL SURGERY CENTER
Yarmouth, Maine Surgery Days:

PRN Why This Role and Why Us? We’re not your typical surgery center. We specialize in outpatient dental surgery for children and adults with special needs. That means we care for some of the most courageous and vulnerable patients — many with sensory, behavioral, or developmental differences — and we do it with creativity, curiosity, and heart. We’re building a team that’s deeply patient-centered, team-minded, and drama-free. We lead elbow-to-elbow, communicate directly and kindly, and don’t believe in blame games. If you’re the kind of nurse who loves pediatrics, thrives in the recovery room, and believes healthcare should be safe and fun — we want to meet you. What You’ll Be Doing Providing nursing coverage where it is needed in either Pre-op, post-op, or Circulating in the OR. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our patients wake up safe and supported post-anesthesia, and you’ll help set the tone before they even go under.

Your day-to-day will include:

Prepping patients and families pre-op with compassion and clarity Monitoring, assessing, and managing patients recovering from general anesthesia Collaborating closely with anesthesia providers and dentists Communicating clearly with families — explaining what’s happening in ways they understand Jumping in to support teammates whenever and wherever needed Maintaining a clean, safe, sensory-considerate space for recovery in accordance with established Federal, State, and accreditation standards and Center policies and procedures. Contributing to ongoing improvement, feedback, and the spirit of learning What We’re Looking For This role is for a nurse who’s as comfortable with beeping monitors as they are with a scared 6-year-old or a parent who needs a little extra reassurance.

Must-Haves:

Active RN license in Maine BLS certification, (ACLS & PALS willing if not already certified) Experience in Emergency room experience, ASC or similar Strong IV skills and comfort with monitoring equipment Experience with pediatric populations and/or patients with special needs Commitment to team-based care — no egos, no silos Ability to think on your feet, stay calm under pressure, and bring creative solutions to unique challenges Shows up on time, sticks to the schedule, and manages their time well — even on busy days Uses supplies and resources wisely, staying organized and cost-conscious without cutting corners

Nice-to-Haves:

Prior experience in an ambulatory surgery center setting A curious, learner’s mindset — we’re a startup, and we’re growing fast A sense of humor and a genuine love of kids and families What You’ll Love About Working Here A supportive, purpose-driven team that has your back Leadership that works alongside you, not above you A calm, professional, no-drama environment that values direct communication and strives for excellence Consistent hours — no nights or weekends The chance to truly make a difference for patients and families who often don’t feel seen in traditional medical spaces Let’s Talk If this sounds like the kind of place where you’d feel proud to put on scrubs each morning, let’s have a conversation. We’re not just hiring skill sets — we’re building a team with soul.
