This is agreat opportunity for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMH-NP) toprovide behavioral health evaluations within the EmergencyDepartment at Hartford Hospital. Collaborating with the EmergencyDepartment medical staff and an Institute of Living Board CertifiedPsychiatrist. This opportunity allows you to work in a uniquepsychiatric setting, gain experience working with a supportiveteam, and significantly help a large number of patients!

NursePractitioner Responsibilities:

Nurse Practitioners work in HartfordHospital’s Emergency Department for the Institute of Livingproviding level of care evaluations, crisis intervention,medication management, and disposition planning with Masters levelclinicians . Collaborate and communicate with the emergencymedicine department and medical clinicians across disciplines toeffectively identify and provide holistic, quality, andcost-effective advanced practice care for patients, families, andothers in a target population.

Shift:

• 36 hour a week schedule
• No call required

Qualifications Qualifications:

Advanced Practice NursePractitioner licensed or eligible to be licensed in the State of CTIn-patient or out-patient psychiatric experience as a nursepractitioner PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner)ANCC certification preferred
