Infection Prevention Nurse Daimanta Solutions Private Limited Camden, ME Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Infection Prevention Nurse (IP Nurse) to join our team at a rehabilitation facility. The ideal candidate will specialize in infection prevention practices and provide clinical oversight to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and care. This is a vital role in our healthcare environment, focused on minimizing infection risks and promoting a culture of health, safety, and compliance. Duties Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention protocols in accordance with CDC and facility guidelines Conduct surveillance and reporting of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) Provide education and training to staff on infection control and prevention strategies Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with infection prevention standards Use knowledge of microbiology and physiology to identify potential infection risks and intervene accordingly Perform routine environmental rounds and audits to evaluate adherence to aseptic techniques Maintain and review accurate infection-related documentation and reports Lead investigations during infection outbreaks and develop response strategies Serve as a resource for public health initiatives and regulatory compliance Demonstrate leadership in promoting a safe and healthy rehabilitation environment Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and other applicable safety standards Qualifications Valid RN nursing license Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) preferred or willingness to obtain (preferred not required ) Previous experience in infection control or infection prevention nursing in a rehabilitation or long-term care setting preferred Strong knowledge of infection prevention principles, aseptic techniques, and regulatory guidelines Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and documentation review processes Excellent communication and leadership skills in clinical and educational settings Strong understanding of public health principles and infection transmission pathways

$60.00 – $70.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
