Job Description:

• The work involvesresponsibility for providing skilled nursing care requiringsubstantial specialized judgment in accordance with a prescribednursing care plan.
• The work is performed under generalsupervision with leeway for independently performing nursing careduties. Supervision may be exercised over Licensed PracticalNurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Home Health Aides and othersubordinate staff.
• Typical work activities would include, but arenot limited to, assessing patient nursing care needs and preparing,implementing and evaluating the nursing care plan, giving skillednursing care and prescribed treatments to patients.
• Identifyingphysical and emotional illness of patients through observations andanalysis of records, coordinating plans of care with nutritionists,social workers, physical therapists, physicians and otherprofessional health workers, counseling and guiding families in theprevention of illness, etc.

License and Certification:

• Active RNLicense
