Required Qualifications:

Oneyear of recent experience as a Telemetry RN Current Valid RNlicense in compliance with state regulations Current BLSCertification (AHA/ARC)

Current ACLS Certification PreferredQualifications:

Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN)Certification NIHSS certification Other certifications and licensesmay be required for this position

Summary:

The Telemetry RegisteredNurse is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care in atelemetry unit, focusing on continuous cardiac monitoring andassessment. This role encompasses evaluating patient health,implementing specialized care plans, administering treatments, andcollaborating with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality,patient-centered care for individuals with cardiac conditions. Theposition requires strong clinical skills in telemetry nursing,critical thinking abilities, excellent communication, and acommitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safetyand professional ethics.

Essential Work Functions:

Monitors andinterprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and other telemetry datato detect abnormalities and respond appropriately Administersprescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approvednursing techniques, with a focus on cardiac care Prepares equipmentand aids physician during cardiac-related procedures andexaminations Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs oftelemetry patients Observes patient, records significant conditionsand reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of patient’scardiac status and response to interventions Responds tolife-saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies,procedures, and protocols specific to cardiac emergencies Documentsnursing history and physical assessment for assigned telemetrypatients Initiates patient education plans according toindividualized needs, focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, andlifestyle modifications Collaborates with the interdisciplinaryteam to ensure comprehensive care for telemetry patients Maintainsconfidentiality of patients and client Perform other duties asassigned within the scope of practice Adhere to hospital safetyprotocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

Required Essential Skills:

Critical thinking, service excellenceand good interpersonal communication skills The ability to read,write, & communicate in the English language is required Ability toread/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions,and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities

• Remain in astationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs),pushing, pulling, bending Interpersonal Skills
• To workeffectively with a variety of personnel (professional andancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills
• Ability to grasp, fine manipulation,pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting withprocedures and/or using department equipment. Mental Requirements
• Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public,customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able towork under close supervision occasionally as well as workingwithout assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contendwith irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuousconcentration to detail Sensory
