Under the direction of the Director-Nursing, the Emergency Department RN works in a multidimensional setting. Emergency nursing practice involves the assessment, analysis, nursing diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation of intervention. EXPERIENCE
Previous Emergency Department experience or one year critical care experience.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Basic EKG; Hazmat within 1 year of hire; Incident Command training (ICS 100, 200, and 700) within 6 months of hire.
Experienced nurses must have ACLS upon hire, graduate nurses and nurses new to Critical Care must attain ACLS within 12 months of hire/transition.
OTHER:
Basic Computer Skills.
LICENSE/CERT
Required:
RN (Registered Nurse) State of Missouri, BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association), ACLS (Advance Cardiac Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association) within 1 year of hire, ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) within 1 year of hire, TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) within 1 year of hire
