Job Description:

We are seeking experienced Med-Surg RNs to join a high-acuity, fast-paced Level 1 Trauma Center in Mississippi. This role involves rotating across five Med-Surg units with a strong team-oriented culture, dedicated support staff, and a commitment to quality care.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct care to adult patients with a variety of medical-surgical diagnoses including CHF, AKI, diabetes, post-surgical care, trauma, and sickle cell anemia Administer medications including titration of Heparin Monitor patients using telemetry systems with centralized support Manage patients with chest tubes, lines, CPAP/BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RT and House Supervisors Float as needed to similar Med-Surg units within skillset

Requirements:

Active RN license (compact or MS) Minimum 2 years recent Med-Surg experience Level 1 trauma center experience required Strong skills in managing high-acuity patients and post-op surgical care

Certifications:

BLS required (ACLS preferred for charge roles) Must be comfortable with central lines, chest tubes, and basic titratable drips

Scheduling & Logistics:

Standard scheduling includes every other weekend or 2 weekends/month Holiday rotation required No call or standby Block scheduling possible if unit needs allow

Scrubs:

Any solid professional color Orientation includes 1-day onboarding and 2 precepted shifts
