Overview Job Summary Provides under the direction of a registered nurse, those aspects of patient care which have been previously learned/demonstrated in the nursing program in which enrolled. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. Performs other duties as assigned. Responsibilities + Assesses the patient under the direction of the registered nurse. + Contributes to the plan of care under the direction of the registered nurse. + Implements the plan of care under the direction of the registered nurse. + Participates in the evaluation of expected outcomes and goals under the direction of the registered nurse. + Administers treatments as ordered according to policy and procedures under the direction of the registered nurse. + Reinforces the health/teaching/education of individuals and groups of patients under the direction of the registered nurse. + Participates in activities to improve health care delivery under the direction of the registered nurse. + Builds knowledge and experience base regarding clinical leadership. + Supports life long learning. + Completes assigned goals. Specifications Experience Minimum Required + Enrolled in an approved nursing program preparing for RN licensure. Completion of one academic year of clinical courses in nursing. Preferred/Desired Education Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Training Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Special Skills Minimum Required + Computer literacy Preferred/Desired Licensure Minimum Required + BLS certification within 14 days of hire date Preferred/Desired
