• Essential Functions:

• This position coordinates and provides direct patient care toambulatory walk-in infusion patients for all therapy types:antibiotics, blood, chemo, injections, pump refills.
• This position has direct responsibility of ensuring timely andquality documentation in the permanent medical record for clinical,legal, and reimbursement purposes
• This position participates in clinical activities necessary forpatients receiving infusion therapy on continuous pumps; forPICC/Midline services; nurse education and specialty drug educationas needed.
• This position participates in patient/staff education and allother areas of total patient care to optimize outcomes.

Thisincludes:

• Review/monitor patient charts monitoring & reportingdocumentation
• Account charging & Good Catch/ADR
• Patient admission into computer systems according to policyprocedures
• Inventory maintenance
• Assist with billing
• Consults ancillary areas as needed

• Requirements:

• The incumbent must be currently licensed in the state ofMississippi and must have a minimum of three years nursingexperience and/or one year Oncology experience (preferred).

Theincumbent must exhibit a broad knowledge and skills in a variety ofpatient diagnoses and ages as well as infusion therapies and musthave good oral and written communication skills. The incumbent mustbe competent in IV therapy, chemotherapy, pediatric injection, andpump operations. Chemotherapy experience is preferred and mustcomplete chemotherapy certification program. Experience in home IVadministration is desirable.
