Hospice On Call RN-7on 7 off 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars 450 Towne Center Blvd, Ridgeland, MS 39157 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hospice On Call Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating patient care after hours, working 7 days on/7 days off, ensuring that patients receive the necessary services and support throughout their healthcare journey. You will work closely with RN Case Managers, patients, families, and healthcare providers to implement the individualized care plans that promote optimal health outcomes. Duties Provide on call services to Hospice Patient after hours Regularly assesses and reassesses the nursing needs of the Hospice patient. Provides Hospice nursing services, treatments and preventive procedures. Initiates nursing procedures appropriate for the patient’s Hospice care and safety. Observes signs and symptoms and reports to the physician and IDG members any unexpected changes in the patient’s physical or emotional condition. Teaches, supervises and counsels the Hospice patient and family members about providing care for the patient. Supervises and trains other nursing service personnel. Performs specific nursing procedures as needed (e.g., treatments, management of symptoms) following doctor’s orders. Attends team conferences, IDG. Maintains records as required by Hospice. Follows the policies and procedures of Hospice. Observes confidentiality and safeguards all patient-related information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Always communicates to the supervisor if unable to meet a patient’s need or perform a procedure. Maintain skills and knowledge. After hour Admissions, deaths, visits as needed Experience Candidates should possess the following qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Experience in patient care within hospice settings preferred. Strong understanding of medical terminology and documentation standards. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care. Ability to work independently, make accurate, and at times, quick judgments. Ability to supervise others appropriately. Ability to respond appropriately to crisis outside of a hospital setting. Acceptance of and adaptability to different social, racial, cultural and religious modes. Completes Hospice training program.
