Organizes and participates in the provision of direct patient care, performs treatments, administers IV medications, and educates patients in our busy infusion suites. Initiates, develops, and implements nursing plan of treatments, evaluating patient progress towards goals. Frequently communicate with pharmacy staff and nurse practitioner for managing infusion therapies. Could occasionally administer infusions in the patient home setting. Prepares clinical documentation and submits to the nursing department to comply with established time lines for billing optimization. Completes all documentation per policy. Completes electronic charting accurately and legibly according to agency submission requirements at the end of each work day.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
RN Required, RN/BSN preferred. Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Mississippi and in good standing. A minimum of 2 years Med-Surg experience (Pre-Op, ER, or related) Strong IV skills required BLS certification required Adult and pediatric experience is preferred Must possess effective communication, technical, instructional, interpersonal and time management skills. Must be able to work effectively and autonomously. Must be willing and comfortable to communicate with patients and staff Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record On-call schedule rotates weekly among nurses Team player who performs other related duties as directed by supervisor
