JOB SUMMARY
Delivers perioperative care to the surgical patient through nursingprocess of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation andevaluation. Assures optimum quality patient care by serving asresource person for other staff members, patient and family.
Coordinates patient care within surgical services and with otherdepartments. Assists the physician. Supervises other registerednurses, licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants andtechnicians.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assumes responsibilities for patient’s care in the operating roomor procedure room as assigned. Directs activities of operative procedure in room assigned. Maintains accurate documentation of perioperative care. Assists in maintenance of a clean and orderly environment. Communicates with charge nurses, physicians and other teammembers. Participates in continuing education. Accepts responsibilities as a charge nurse. Delivers direct patient care appropriate to age of patientserved.

- Required Graduate of a School of Nursing / College Nursing EducationProgram Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and theability to work with minimal supervision.

Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS)
