    Position Overview
    The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct and indirect patient care services to meet the psychosocial, physical, and restorative needs of patients.

This position ensures compassionate, ethical, and patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The RN communicates effectively and professionally while working within the scope of their license, hospital policies, and regulatory standards to promote quality outcomes and patient safety.
Compensation is commensurate upon education, experience, certification, and internal equity. Hiring compensation range begins at $33.00 per hour.

00 per hour or more. Benefits begin the first of the month following 60 days of employment from the new hire orientation date. This position is a non-exempt position with shift differential.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver and coordinate patient care based on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Document nursing care, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize care delivery.
Respond promptly to patient changes and emergency situations.
Delegate and supervise appropriate aspects of care delivery within scope of practice.
Position Requirements
Minimum Education
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Experience
Psychiatric nursing experience preferred
Prior healthcare experience in acute or clinic settings preferred
Required Registration/License/Certification
Current licensure as an RN in the State of North Carolina
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required at time of hire
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) required within one year of hire
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Competent in delivering safe and effective patient care within the scope of RN licensure
Understanding of the continuum of nursing care
Exceptional customer service with patients, families, and healthcare team
Physical Demands
Lifts, positions, pushes, pulls, and/or transfers up to and greater than 50 pounds
Manual dexterity and mobility
Prolonged, extensive or considerable sitting/standing/walking
Bending, squatting, twisting, and turning
Near acuity: ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less
Working Conditions
Regularly exposed to the risk of bloodborne diseases
Frequently exposed to hazards from electrical/mechanical/power equipment, odorous chemicals and specimens, and unpleasant elements (accident, injury, slippery surfaces, uneven surfaces), etc.
Subject to irregular hours (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays) and emergencies
Continuous standing and walking long periods = to, or, greater than >8 hours per shift
Speaking, reading, and writing, expanded > 8 hours per day
Exposed to vibration and cramped spaces > 1-hour day
Frequently mobilizes patients > 4 hours per day
Frequently per shift: lifts, carries, pushes, and/or pulls > 50 lbs.
Frequently per hour: bends, squats, kneels, twists, turns, and reaches
Frequently per minute: hand, finger, and wrist repetition and moderate dexterity
Frequently per hour: exposed to soft voices > 3 feet away
Frequently per hour: exposed to close eye work
Infrequently per shift: may be exposed to Ionizing/nonionizing radiation exposure, including x-ray and microwave
