The 142-bed full-service hospital is located in Washington and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center. It is home to a 16-bed emergency department that serves approximately 25,000 patients per year, as well as the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center – a provider of leading-edge chemotherapy and radiation therapy, among other cancer services. ECU Health Beaufort also offers general medical and surgical services, operative services, a women’s birthing center, rehabilitation services and outpatient clinics. Position Summary The nurse navigator provides individualized assistance to specific patients and their families in overcoming barriers to care, facilitating timely access to care, and providing education and support. The patients’ trajectory through diagnosis, treatment, and after care will be seamless and coordinated in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Additional patient navigational needs may be assigned to this Navigator. Minimum Requirements 4 year college degree is required.

BSN, MSN

preferred Current North Carolina nursing (RN) license is required. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral 3-5 years clinical experience for patient focus is required 3-5 years in a hospital setting is required. Certification for patient focus preferred or within 2 years of employment.
