TravelPosition Overview:

As an Orthopedic RN,you will be responsible for the care of patients withmusculoskeletal conditions. Your role will involve providingpre-operative and post-operative care, assisting with painmanagement, and ensuring patient comfort throughout their recoveryprocess. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled RN who thrivesin a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

Assess & Monitor:

Provide comprehensive nursing assessments andclosely monitor patients undergoing orthopedic treatments andsurgeries.

Pre-Operative & Post-Operative Care:

Assist with preparingpatients for surgery and manage care during the recovery phase,including wound care, pain management, and mobility training.

Patient Education:

Educate patients and their families onorthopedic conditions, surgical procedures, rehabilitation, andpost-discharge care.

Collaboration:

Work closely with orthopedic surgeons, physicaltherapists, and other healthcare professionals to create andimplement individualized care plans.

Pain Management:

Administer prescribed medications andinterventions to manage pain and enhance the healing process.

Documentation:

Accurately document patient conditions,treatments, and progress in compliance with healthcare regulationsand standards.

Advocate:

Act as a patient advocate, ensuring safety, comfort,and satisfaction throughout the care process.

RequiredQualifications:

Current RN License in the state of North Carolina (or compactstate) Minimum 2 years of experience in orthopedic nursing Strong clinical knowledge and proficiency in orthopediccare Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certificationpreferred
