Summary:

The Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible forproviding comprehensive patient care in a telemetry unit, focusingon continuous cardiac monitoring and assessment. This roleencompasses evaluating patient health, implementing specializedcare plans, administering treatments, and collaborating withhealthcare teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care forindividuals with cardiac conditions. The position requires strongclinical skills in telemetry nursing, critical thinking abilities,excellent communication, and a commitment to maintaining thehighest standards of patient safety and professional ethics.

Essential Work Functions:

Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and othertelemetry data to detect abnormalities and respondappropriately Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordancewith approved nursing techniques, with a focus on cardiac care Prepares equipment and aids physician during cardiac-relatedprocedures and examinations Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetrypatients Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions,and notifies supervisor or physician of patient’s cardiac statusand response to interventions Responds to life-saving situations based upon nursingstandards, policies, procedures, and protocols specific to cardiacemergencies Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assignedtelemetry patients Initiates patient education plans according to individualizedneeds, focusing on cardiac health, risk factors, and lifestylemodifications Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensurecomprehensive care for telemetry patients Maintains confidentiality of patients and client Perform other duties as assigned within the scope ofpractice Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection controlguidelines, and regulatory standards

Required Essential Skills:
