Job Description Job Description Job Description Job Summary TheRegistered Nurse (RN) provides patient-centered care through thenursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation,and evaluation. This role is responsible for coordinating anddelivering high-quality care based on established clinicalprotocols and physician/provider orders. The RN collaborates withphysicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensureeffective patient care and desired outcomes, while maintaining asupportive and compassionate environment for patients and theirfamilies. • Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care inaccordance with organizational policies, protocols, and the nursingprocess.
• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documentsfindings accurately, reporting changes in condition to theappropriate care team members.
• Utilizes knowledge of human growthand development to provide age-appropriate care and education.
• Administers prescribed medications, monitors for side effects, anddocuments administration in accordance with standards of practice
• Assists physicians during procedures within the scope ofdocumented competency and skill level.
• Collaborates with thehealthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualizedcare plans based on patient assessments and needs.
• Responds tomedical emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions,such as CPR and code team activities, as appropriate.
• Advocatesfor the rights and needs of patients, ensuring their voices areheard and respected in care planning and delivery.
• Providespatient and family education on medical conditions, treatmentplans, and post-discharge care, ensuring understanding andadherence to instructions.
• Implements and adheres to infectioncontrol protocols to prevent the spread of healthcare-associatedinfections.
• Monitors and operates medical equipment (e.g., IVpumps, monitors, ventilators) as needed for patient care andsafety.
• Promotes patient safety by adhering to National PatientSafety Goals and maintaining a clean, safe environment for patientsand staff.
• Participates in audits, chart reviews, and compliancechecks to ensure adherence to standards of practice and regulatoryrequirements.
• Demonstrates responsible decision-making inplanning, delegating, and providing care based on patient needs andorganizational policies.
• Documents patient care and educationthoroughly and promptly in the medical record.
• Engages inprofessional development to maintain clinical competency andunderstanding of current nursing standards and regulations.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives, including datacollection and process development, to enhance patient outcomes andcare delivery.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies withall policies and standards. Qualifications
• 0-2 years ofexperience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotationsin an acute care setting required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Strong knowledge of the nursing process and clinical nursingpractices.
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments andcommunicate findings effectively.
• Proficient in administeringmedications and monitoring for side effects.
• Effectivecommunication and interpersonal skills to collaborate withinterdisciplinary teams.
• Strong organizational skills andattention to detail in documenting patient care.
• Knowledge ofsafety standards, infection control, and quality improvementinitiatives. Licenses and Certifications
