To better serve ourcommunities growth SOVAH Danville Emergency Department is currentlyunder a complete renovation to better serve our patients. The newEmergency Department will be a 31-bed unit with a 4:1 ratio foracute patients, with designated behavioral health safe rooms. OurEmergency Department provides care to patients across the lifespanfor all medical emergencies. We are a designated Chest Pain Center& Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center. We are an academicteaching site for residents, medical students, nurses, nursepractitioners, pharmacists, and physician assistants. The Registered nurse acts a leader in thehealthcare system at SOVAH Danville by establishing an authenticpersonalized relationship with patients and their support systems,collaborating with physicians and other team members to provideoptimal patient care, utilizing evidence-based practice in care,and providing compassion in care for our patients. Qualifications:

Applicants should have acurrent VA (or Multi-state) RN license and possess a nursing degreefrom an accredited nursing school (Bachelor’s degree preferred).

Additional requirements include:
  • American Heart Association BasicLife Support
  • Experience in acute care hospital, preferred
  • American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months of hire
  • PediatricAdvanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association OREmergency Nurse Association (ENPC) required, or within six (6)months of hire
  • Trauma Nurse Certification Course (TNCC) EmergencyNurse Association, preferred
