PCU About Facility:
o 58 licensed beds o No Trauma Designation o Radius rule: Traveler’s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit

o Stroke R/O, PNA, cellulitis, FTT, AMS, CP R/O, Afib, COPD, ect.

Skills required: o Essential nursing functions, teamwork, communication o Experience with traches, cardiac gtt experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood products, wound care/dressing changes, management of central lines Support within the
Department:
o CNA
- ADLs, VS, FSBG, Telemetry/Masimo monitoring, assist with ADT. o Receptionist/HUC Most day shifts Call bell and phone call triage, assist with ADT o Charge nurse
- mostly without patient assignment o Phlebotomy o IV/VAT Team o Resource Nurse, as staffing allows o RT 24/7Yes o Hospitalist 24/7

Floating:
o Within region and scope of practice o Will be required to float per region needs will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice DECLINE if not agreeable Region 3
- Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH) If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock) Orientation (facility and unit) : o NEO o 2 days departmental
Scheduling:
o Weekend rotation: every other o No call o
Holiday Expectations:
Travelers will work 75% of holidays o
RTO:
Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours o Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks Other notes: o
