Job Summary:

The Staff Nurse is responsible for implementing the philosophies,objectives, standards of care, and policies and procedures of theNursing Division under the direction of the Nurse Manager. TheStaff Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care andfunctioning as a charge nurse according to the Nurse Manager’sexpectation for an assigned shift.

Minimum Requirements:

Graduatefrom an NCBON approved School of Nursing and/or graduate from anapproved School of Nursing. Current RN license with the NorthCarolina State Board of Nursing or Compact License recognized bythe North Carolina State Board of Nursing. Knowledge of currenttrends and techniques in nursing. Possess the ability to relateeffectively to patients, their families, physicians, staff, and allothers using proper channels of communication. Recognize theimportance of being a professional role model for others. Able todemonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide careappropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit(s).The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles ofgrowth and development over the life span and possess the abilityto assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret theappropriate information needed to identify each patient’srequirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to providethe care needed as describe in the unit’s/ area’s/ department’spolicies and procedures. Maintain current AHA BLScertification.

Emergency Department Admissions NurseThis Nurseshould have inpatient intermediate, critical care, or telemetryexperience and will be responsible for providing comprehensivepatient care to admitted patients who are located in the EmergencyDepartment. This care includes, but is not limited to;Completionand documentation of admission assessments and ongoingassessmentsMedication ReconciliationMedicationAdministrationCommunication with inpatient unitsTransportation toinpatient unitsAny other clinical services, within the RN scope ofpractice, as needed•Sign on bonus of $25,000.00 for qualified,full time candidates•Relocation up to $7,000.00 for full timecandidates per HR guidelinesby Jobble
