Under the supervision ofthe Diagnostic Radiology Manager and/or Coordinator, performs awide variety of technical and professional duties utilizing compleximaging equipment to produce quality MRI images as requested forsubsequent interpretation by the radiologist. All duties areperformed according to departmental and organizational policies andprocedures and demonstrates exceptional service excellence in allinteractions as outlined in the Standards of Professional Behavior.

locations, regardlessof your regularly assigned work location. EEO/AA/Disability/VeteranResponsibilities 1. Performs a wide variety of technical andprofessional duties utilizing complex diagnostic imaging equipment.

Efficiently follows routine protocols, demonstrates independentjudgment, and has minimal inactive scanner utilization. 1.1 Followsroutine protocols and refers to the doctor’s exam requisition toensure the correct exam is performed. Is capable of building scanprotocols utilizing the correct options with the correct pulsesequences. 2. Performs quality and compassionate patient care inorder to ensure cooperation, safety, and satisfaction. Demonstrates100% accuracy on safety screening and continues to promote ourpledge for Service Excellence. 2.1 Thoroughly explains theprocedure to the patient and offer them the emotional support toendure and complete the exam. 3. Performs various record keeping,customer service functions to ensure exam charges are properlybilled and communicates feedback in order to ensure goals of thedepartment are met and operations run efficiently. 3.1 Consistentlyselects the correct patient from the worklist with accuracy 4.Participates in various teaching and learning opportunities inorder to further professional knowledge and expertise. Activelyfunctions as a mentor to new employees by participating in theorientation process. 4.1 Attends at least (5) training in-servicesper year as recorded by supervisor/ manager. 5. To enhance thePatient Experience in Diagnostic Radiology, all staff will beresponsible to achieve patient satisfaction scores set by thedepartment on the Tests and Treatment section of our Press GaneySurvey. 5.1 Staff will present themselves in a friendly andcourteous manner. Staff will identify themselves and their rolewhile encouraging a Patient and Family Experience. Qualifications

EDUCATION

Graduation from an A.M.A. approved Radiologic Technologyprogram preferred, MRI board certification required. AS degreepreferred, BS degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 1 yearexperience or has completed

YNHH MRI

training program plus MRIBoard Certification

LICENSURE

ARRT and CT state license preferred,MRI board certification required. CPR Certification preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Proficient in routine MRI imaging techniques, aboveaverage knowledge of cross section anatomy, highly developedorganizational skills, and timely and effective communicationsskills is required.

PHYSICAL DEMAND

Must be able to lift a minimumof 40 pounds to assist with patient transfers. YNHHS Requisition ID134816
