Follows routine protocols and refers to thedoctor’s exam requisition to ensure the correct exam is performed.

Is capable of building scan protocols utilizing the correct optionswith the correct pulse sequences. 1 1. Efficiently performs andcompletes each exam in the appropriate time frame . Supervisingmanager will measure delays that affect equipment utilization andpatient wait time. 1 2. Follows all MRI Safety measures required bythe Joint Commission, participates in ongoing training for staffenrichment, adheres to all Radiology policies, and performs IVinsertion using aseptic technique. Demonstrates minimal inactivescan time which is reflected in the yearly technical competencyreview. 1 3. Demonstrates the ability to enhance the MRI imagequality, performs post processing of image data, ensures thetransmittal of all images to PACS, and accurately edits/ completesthe correct exam, including all supplies, to ensure correct chargecapture. 1 4. Demonstrates an ability to utilize independentjudgment during equipment difficulties to efficiently diagnose theproblem, contact service engineer, and to communicate the problemto the supervisor, manager, and the next shift Performs quality andcompassionate patient care in order to ensure cooperation, safety,and satisfaction. Demonstrates 100% accuracy on safety screeningand continues to promote our pledge for Service Excellence. 15 2.Thoroughly explains the procedure to the patient and offer them theemotional support to endure and complete the exam. 2 1. Accuratelyreviews safety form for completeness ( identifying andinvestigating any MRI safety contraindications, validating twoperson signature on the MRI safety form, and reviews POC testingvalues for safe contrast administration) 100% of the time asobserved by the supervisor and/or manager. 2 2. Accuratelyidentifies the patient by name and date of birth by checking thename band prior to start of the procedure. 2.3 Activelyparticipates in sectional, departmental, and hospital-wideinitiatives to promote Service Excellence. 2 4. Accurately andconsistently performs ACR weekly QA to ensure equipment is workingefficiently and to keep us compliant in maintaining ouraccreditation. 2 5. Ensures a Clean & Safe environment throughdaily exam room and equipment inspections. Performs various recordkeeping, customer service functions to ensure exam charges areproperly billed and communicates feedback in order to ensure goalsof the department are met and operations run efficiently . 3.1Accurately completes/edits charges for exams in

EPIC 100

% of thetime to guarantee proper billing and medical record documentation.3 2. Post processing and all transfer of images to PACS isrequired100% of the time to ensure the report reflects theinterpretation of all images. 3 3. Retrieves in patient requestfrom EPIC and assists CSA or supervisor with scheduling in theappropriate time slot 3 4. Scans reqs/forms into EPIC accuratelyand consistently. 3 6. Reports and documents patient incidents in atimely manner. Additional Information

EDUCATION

Graduation from anA.M.A. approved Radiology program. A.S. required, B.S. preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum two(2) years of Magnetic Resonance Imagingexperience with highly developed and advanced technical skills,preferrably working in a high volume acute care setting, and thecandidate may be an

YNHH MRI

Tech 1 or MRI Tech 2 for a minimum ofone (1) year Outside supervisory experience preferred. Mustdemonstrate excellent communication skills.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Proficient in advanced MRI imaging techniques, above averageknowledge of computer applications, and demonstrates exceptionalorganizational and communication skills.

ACCOUNTABILITY

(how thisposition is held accountable for such as goals achievement, budgetadherence, orother areas of accountability): Must meet theperformance expectations as defined in the MRI Technologist 3position description. Performance andcompetency will be assessedcontinually and reviewed annually with the Manager/ Coordinator.

Any areas that are determined to be unstaisfactory will requireadditional training and re-evaluation within 90 days.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

ARRT, CT state license andMRI board certification required. CPR Certification preferred.
