DIAGNOSES

ADC:

18 with 20 Beds. ICU stepdown. Post rapid response teampatients, respiratory distress, unstable hemodynamics, withdrawal,GI bleeds, post-op: GYN, GU, GI, thoracotomies, neuro, orthosurgeries. Pre/post OB with complications (Pitocin). /nPatient agefrom adolescent, adult, geriatric. /n /nSPECIAL

PROCEDURES/UNITDETAILS

Only one pressor drip per patient, any more and they’retransferred to ICU. /nCardizem, Nitro, Precedex, Cardene, Levophed,Dopamine, Dobutamine, Neo drips given on unit. /n /n

SPECIALEQUIPMENT:

Bedside telemetry monitors with remote backup. Nursesmust be able to recognize and treat dysrhythmias. A-lines, BIPAP’s,chest tubes, trach’s, there are no vents on unit. /n /n
