Murdoch nurses work as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team with physicians, psychologists, pharmacists, psychiatrists, and social workers to name just a few. Nurses gain professional fulfillment through the provision of evidence-based nursing practice with a person-centered approach Murdoch is currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse located in the Infirmary. The Infirmary is a 24-bed unit which provides 24-hour nursing care to people requiring hospitalization to treat acute illnesses as well as end of life care. The Infirmary provides emergency response and professional nursing coverage in residential areas after the nurses in those areas have left duty. It also provides assessment and treatment of employee injuries for the entire campus after hours and on weekends and holidays and ensures administrative staff are informed of events as indicated per policy. The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional nursing care to clients in assigned units. This RN provides evaluation, assessment, and assures coordination and implementation of care delivery to assigned caseload. Professional supervision is provided for LPNs and the unlicensed staff as indicated. Acts as charge nurse in absence of Nurse Supervisor with responsibility for daily operational routine on assigned shift. Provides advanced clinical services and consultation as necessary/assigned including medication/treatment administration, physician/professional contacts, identification and care planning for health needs, and emergency care for medical and behavioral emergencies. This is a full time position and eligible for the full state benefits package including Health Insurance, paid sick/vacation/holidays,retorement, etc.
Scheduled work hours/shift:
1st shift
- The normal working hours/shift: Weekends 36/48 (Two-week schedule); 6;30a-7p-12 hour shifts(36/48 hour weekly rotation).

Friday/ Saturday/ Sunday/Monday.
Week two:
Friday/ Saturday/Sunday or Friday /Saturday/ Sunday 36 hour week( Permeant
- Part Time option) Schedule adjustments as needed/requested.
