Required Qualifications:

One year of recent experience as a Rehab RN Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications:

ACLS (AHA/ARC) Certification NIHSS Certification Other certifications and licenses may be required for thisposition

Summary:

The Rehabilitation Nurse (Rehab RN) providescomprehensive care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries,or illnesses that require rehabilitative treatment. This roleinvolves providing comprehensive nursing assessments, implementingcare plans, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with amultidisciplinary team to help patients regain optimal physical,functional, and emotional well-being. The Rehab RN demonstratesadvanced clinical skills, excellent communication, and a commitmentto patient-centered care and safety.

Essential Work Functions:

Completes nursing assessment of patients on the unit anddocuments appropriately into patient records Prepare patients for surgery, including educating them aboutprocedures and post-operative care Coordinates and provides holistic patient care, includingmobility support, rehabilitation exercises, and activities of dailyliving (ADLs), while ensuring adherence to individualized careplans Monitors and evaluate patients’ responses to therapeuticinterventions, documenting progress and communicating anydeviations or concerns to the interdisciplinary team Safely administers prescribed medications and treatmentsensuring proper documentation and compliance with safetyprotocols Maintains a clean, organized environment and ensures rooms areadequately stocked with necessary supplies and equipment to supportrehabilitation care Assists with safe patient transport to and from therapysessions, diagnostic procedures, or other care areas as needed Perform other duties as assigned within the scope ofpractice Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection controlguidelines, and regulatory standards

Required Essential Skills:

Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonalcommunication skills The ability to read, write, & communicate in the Englishlanguage is required Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbalinstructions, and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities

  • Remain in a stationary position, moveabout, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending Interpersonal Skills
  • To work effectively with a variety ofpersonnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positiveattitude and professionalism Technical/Motor Skills
  • Ability to grasp, fine manipulation,pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting withprocedures and/or using department equipment. Mental Requirements
  • Must be able to cope with frequentcontact with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlinesunder pressure.
