Job Summary andQualifications The Nurse Educator enhances professional practiceand the provision of quality patient care by providingevidence-based quality educational programs and activities thatpromote professional competency for nursing, inter-professional,and non-licensed clinical staff at the assigned facility.

In thisrole you will:

• Participates in the development, coordination,managing, facilitating, conducting, and evaluating of onboardingand orientation programs for nursing and other healthcarepersonnel.
• Provides orientation/onboarding programs to promoteemployee retention.
• Collaborates with the Director of ClinicalProfessional Development to adjust the program based on evaluationresults.
• Participates in the development, coordination, andmanagement of facilitating, conducting, and evaluating competency
• Designs and identifies educational activities to address practicegaps for identified target audiences, including licensed andnon-licensed healthcare personnel, in alignment with HCA anddivision clinical education request and development processes.
• Develops activities to achieve specific outcomes related toidentified deficits or opportunities for improvement in knowledge,skill and practice. Plans educational content delivery thatencourages learner engagement.
• Promotes and integrates the EBP inorder to continuously improve practice. Conducts, encourages,facilitates, and/or participates in research, EBP, and QI inpatient care settings.
• Identifies and develops strategies tofacilitate a continuous process of maturation through lifelonglearning.
• Utilizes novice-to-expert continuum when developingstaff. Identifies and provides opportunities for skill enhancementand mastery.
• This Educator role will be covering Med Surg Tele,ICU, ED and OR/PACU What experience and education is needed forthis role:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Required
• Master’sDegree in Nursing Preferred
• 2 years of experience in clinicaleducation, CSC, academia or leadership. Preferred
• 2 years ofexperience in acute care hospital. Preferred
• Currently licensedas an RN in the state of practice or has an active compact statelicense in accordance with law and regulation Required
• NationallyRecognized Specialty certification Preferred
• Basic Life Saving(BLS) Required
