Summary:

The Nurse Externship is a 4 week training program for current nursing students to learn roles. This program consists of both didactic and clinical education.

Responsibilities:

+ Assist the registered nurse by performing delegated duties to include patient assessments, planning, and implementation of care. + Participate in didactic and hands on clinical education. + Perform documentation under the director of a Registered Nurse. + Communicate effectively with members of the health care team, patients, and family members. + Function as a cooperative and active member of the care team.
