Recruitment Range:

$57,712 – $95,224 As a Nurse Consultant I in the Acute and Home Care Licensure and Certification Section, the main responsibility is to conduct licensure and/or certification onsite surveys or in office review of documentation to ascertain compliance with applicable State Licensure and/or Federal Certification Regulations for Home Care, Home Health and Hospice agencies. This is a home-based position in the Central/Eastern Region and should reside in Wake, Franklin, Warren, Johnston, Pitt, Wayne, Nash, Wilson, Edgecombe, Sampson, Harnett, or a surrounding county.

Job Responsibilities Include:

Use findings obtained from on-site survey activity (i.e. observations, record reviews and interviews) to prepare deficiency reports which provides legal documentation of providers’ non-compliance with applicable State Licensure and/or Federal Regulations. Review Plans of Correction submitted by providers in response to cited deficiencies resulting from on-site surveys. Provide clarification and information to the public, providers and prospective providers on the licensure and certification process, requirements, and interpretations. Intake complaints and concerns from the public for investigation. Respond to written requests for information to the public, providers and other agencies. Meet with interest groups, such as health care associations, civic clubs, and professional organizations to discuss the present and future goals of the licensure, certification and inspection of care programs.
