DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a program manager in the communicable disease program, with primary responsibility for management of all aspects of the STD/HIV Program and secondary responsibility for management of the CD/TB program. This position also works as an enhanced role nurse in STD clinic, as an intake nurse, and staff nurse in family planning, general, immunization, and maternal health clinics. Top candidates are able to follow written policies and procedures to work independently, are self-motivated and have an exceptional work ethic.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a B.S. in Nursing which includes a Public Health Nursing rotation and two years of Public Health nursing experience; or a Master’s in Public Health and graduation from a school of professional nursing and two years of professional nursing experience; or graduation from a school of professional nursing and three years of professional nursing experience including two years of Public Health nursing experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED
A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the N.C. Board of Nursing.

SALARY RANGE
: $71,021.76•$110,793.95 (Grade 235)
