Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) operates as a key member of the healthcare team using the nursing process, clinical skills and leadershipto direct, provide and evaluate age/population specific patientcare according to the department’s scope of service. Analyzepatient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursingcare plans, and maintain medical records.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
PROFESSIONALEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
None required for new graduates. Requirements for specialtyareas are defined as 1-2 years of experience in specialty area orrelated clinical experience.
LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION
Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in theState of North Carolina; BCLS certification; additionalcertifications required in specialty areas.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Exposure to blood borne pathogens, airborne pathogens and otherinfectious diseases requiring the use of protective equipment;exposure to other hazards, such as radiation, toxic waste, chemicalhazards, electrical hazards, etc. based on the departments.
Possible exposure to conditions, such as noxious odors, fumes,dusts, mists, gases or poor ventilation. Stressful work periods androtating shifts.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
