! •Oncology experience – whether outpatient or inpatient – is key for this position. A Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Coordinator will have oncology experience because a bone marrow transplant is a therapy for patients with blood cancer. What we ultimately need is a nurse with Transplant Coordinator experience.

JOB DETAILS

5-6 transplant or cellular therapy patients

Shift:

5 x 8s 7:30 – 16:30p (M – F) •40 hours can be offered. Will accept 13 week contracts.

PATIENT DIAGNOSES

Malignant Hematology. Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, Stem Cell Transplant specific diagnoses

SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS

Malignant Hematology, close collaboration with providers, outpatient clinic, inpatient and cellular therapy and apheresis units. Role is care coordination for patients eligible for autologous stem cell transplant and/or cellular therapy(CAR T). A nurse coordinator is assigned to each patient prior to treatment and helps plan the necessary testing and treatment needed, provide education to patient and family, communicates plan to clinical and provider teams, collects and documents data in preparation for transplant. The coordinator also develops the transplant schedule. The nurse coordinator is the patient’s primary contact prior to transplant.

UNIT SYSTEMS

EPIC, SBAR, no direct med administration, weekly transplant and cellular therapy virtual meetings approx 1hr in length

UNIT ORIENTATION

40 hours; Hospital Orientation week one; traveler must be available for classes each day.

SCRUBS:

Navy/White and /or business casual with lab coat
