Charlotte, NC Job Summary:
Assures that required tests are completed and reviewed per transplant specific protocols. Analyzes test results and diagnostic studies and develops a plan that prescribes strategies to obtain expected measurable outcomes. Interprets eligibility criteria to identify high-risk recipients and donors; schedules appropriate consultations to ensure all health needs are met prior to transplant. Communicates eligibility with multidisciplinary team Identifies and communicates health related problems that may increase transplant related morbidity and mortality. Coordinates procurement of donor cells/organs while complying with HIPPA standards
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing Current RN – license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state in which you work Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) 5 years nursing experience including critical/acute care preferred, and experience in at least one of the following: end stage organ disease, solid organ transplantation, hematology, and/or blood and marrow transplantation Previous management experience preferred Ability to obtain and maintain the American Board of Transplant Coordination Certification (CCTC) preferred, required within two years of employment.
