Weare currently seeking an experienced:
TREATMENT NURSE

(RN/LPN) PartTime, Days

JOB SUMMARY

Complete head to toe assessments on all newadmissions and re-admissions to ensure all skin areas wereidentified by the admitting nurse with treatment orders written.

Ensure preventative measures are put in place, such as (specialtymattresses, positioning equipment, therapy referrals, turning andpositioning, nutritional referrals) Ensure the resident’s attendingphysician is informed of wound condition on an ongoing basis.

Ensure residents and their Responsible parties are informed ofwound conditions on an ongoing basis. Provide skin treatments forresidents as ordered. Ensure documentation is current on pressureand non-pressure wounds. Participate in wound meetings and otherdepartmental meetings and in-services as directed. Answer andrespond to call lights promptly and courteously. Maintains comfort,privacy, and dignity of residents and interacts with them withrespect and promotes a caring environment. Adheres to infectioncontrol and standard precaution practices are maintained whenproviding care. Administer medications with the scope of practiceof RN or LPN licensure. Assist with other duties as assigned withinthe scope of practice. Other job duties as assigned.

JOBREQUIREMENTS

Must be a high school graduate. Must be a LicensedPractical Nurse or Registered Nurse, graduated from an accreditedSchool of Nursing. Must have a current, valid LPN or RN licensefrom the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Must be willing toperform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing. Mustbe dependable, flexible, and able to work and cooperate well withall nursing personnel, other departments and have understanding,patience, and tact in working with patients, families, doctors, andothers. Must have ability to make decisions regarding nursingproblems. Must be able to teach, instruct and direct orientation,continuing education, in-services as needed. Must read, know, andfollow personnel, department and Facility policies and proceduresand adhere to local, state, and federal requirements. Must haveworking knowledge of the rules and regulations related to Long TermCare. Must have neat professional appearance at all times.
