Home Health Nurse – RN- PRN/Flex Position Available In Nash, North Carolina

Job Description:

PRN/Flex schedule. Mileage reimbursement. Companyequipment.

Interacts with patients, families, visitors, and allmembers of the health care team to develop, coordinate, and managethe plan of care. Delegates and oversees delivery of patient care.

Maintains patient, staff and customer confidentiality. Demonstratesknowledge of the principles of life span growth and development andassesses data reflective of the patient’s status. Interprets theappropriate information needed to identify each patient’srequirements relative to his or her age specific needs and providescare according to departmental policies and procedures. May beexposed to infectious diseases, bio-hazardous and hazardousmaterials, including regulated medical wastes, and combativepatients. Work is performed in a patient care environment and isoften fast-paced, requiring use of prioritization skills.

Physicalrequirements include:

lifting, prolonged periods of standing,bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, walking, etc. May be asked toprovide care at other Carilion facilities to meet patient needs.

What We Require:

Education:

Graduate of schoolof professional nursing. Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Experience:

ForHome Health, one year of experience is required with home healthexperience preferred.

Licensure, certification, and/or registration:

Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth ofVirginia. For Home Health, must have valid Virginia Drivers Licenseand pass a Criminal Record Check as per Virginia state law. Mustobtain /maintain AHA BLS-HCP.

Other Minimum Qualifications:

Mustsuccessfully complete orientation and competency requirements.

Keyboarding skills required for automated computer systems,including electronic medical records. Must be able to meetessential job functions.
