Job Description
Description You are such an important part of the patient experience! As an admission nurse, you will be responsible for completing an accurate admission and nursing assessment for our patients at the time of admission as well as assessing the patient’s status throughout the admission process. This will require excellent nursing care, as well as building a supportive, therapeutic and professional rapport. Our patients often have anxiety when they are admitting so by using patience, compassion and empathy, you will guide our patients through the admission process. As part of the nursing assessment, you will determine the appropriate level of care and collaborate with medical staff and hospital personnel staff for appropriate follow through.
Requirements:
+ Graduation from an NLN approved nursing school + Considerable knowledge/experience in nursing philosophy, policy, practices, and procedures. + CPR certification within 30 days of hire + Crisis Management within 30 days of hire + Licensed to practice as a LPN in the state of North Carolina + Knowledge of chemical dependency and dual diagnosis treatment and rehabilitation
