JOB DETAILS
Ratios:
Varies per Acuity. Ratios are 1:4 for surgical step down, and 1:5-6 for lower acuity
Shift:
NIGHTS 36 HOURS ONLY
Float Requirement:
Will follow unit rotation – not first to float
Weekend Requirement:
4 per 4 weeks (flexible)
- Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team.
Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed
PATIENT DIAGNOSES
Atrial Fibrillation, CHF, ACS, CAD, Aortic stenosis/regurgitation, Mitral Regurgitation/Stenosis, Endocarditis, Cardiomyopathy, PVD PAD, Vasculitis, Carotid stenosis, Venous stasis, sheath management, sheath removal.
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS
CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR, Mitral Clip, LAAO (Watchman procedure), VATS, Carotid endarterectomy, FEM-POP bypass, Amputations, Other vascular surgeries, Cardiac surgeries, Thoracic surgeries, General thoracic surgery, Post cath, Post DCCV, Post electrophysiology procedures, Pacemaker placements.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT
Arterial lines (not required), Doppler, Bladder scanner, EKG, Femoral sheaths, TR band, Fem-stop, Chest tubes, Epicardial Pacing Wires.
UNIT SYSTEMS
(Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR
