Education:

Graduate from an accredited college or university

Degree:

Must have ASN Degree or higher

Experience:

Must have at least 1 year experience in Emergency Room nursing.

Mandatory Certifications :

Must have current BLS, PALS and ACLS from

American Heart Association or American Red Cross Board Certification:

None License:

Active RN license from any state

Security Clearance:

Must have a clear background in order to pass the security clearance o Familiar with organization structure and operation methods of Air Force o Possess excellent written and oral communications skills. Effectively use correct grammar and spelling in all written communications. Must be US Citizen Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for individuals experiencing medical emergencies. Duties The duties for this position are as follows:

• Perform a full range of Registered Nurse duties in accordance with assignment under the task order including triage; patient assessment and monitoring; use of patient monitoring and treatment equipment; appropriate nursing care, procedures, and treatments; execution of physicians’ orders within guidelines of standard nursing practice; documentation of patient care and observations; and patient education and emotional support.

• Formulate and carry out a goal directed plan of care based on nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes. Prioritize according to patient needs and available resources including time, personnel, equipment, and supplies.
• Ensure areas are stocked and properly equipped.
• Identify patient/significant other learning needs and implement appropriate measures to meet identified goals.
• Assist in planning, provide clinical direction, and provide instruction to Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse, nursing assistants and ancillary personnel.
• Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals.
• Perform physical exam and health histories
• Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.
• Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions.
• Direct and supervise care provide by other healthcare professionals
• Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.
• Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations.
• Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.
• Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate
• Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes.
• Site lead responsible for scheduling Skills The successful candidate will possess the following skills: Proficient in Emergency Room procedures and protocols.

Knowledge of Hospital medicine practices. Experience with Infant care is a plus. Familiarity with Sonography techniques. Ability to work effectively in a Clinic or Medical office setting. Understanding of Internal medicine principles. Experience in Nursing home environments is beneficial. Skills related to Memory care are advantageous. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred Shifts available
