- 37-beds. Our team of nursing staff provide exemplary care for avariety of complex patients with diagnosis such as Pre-LiverTransplant, Liver Transplant, Kidney Transplant, PancreasTransplant, Small Bowel Transplant and Hand Transplant.

Procedures/treatments frequently performed include diabetesmanagement, pain management, wound care, telemetry, oxygen therapy,blood product administration, and IV management of fluids andmedications. Affords the clinical experience to attain strong criticalthinking skills, vast knowledge of disease processes and bodysystems, and robust care management skills.
What you will do:
As a
- Clinical Nurse
- in Duke University Health System, you willplan and provide professional nursing care for patients inaccordance with the medical and nursing plans of care andestablished policies and procedures.
Provide nursing services topatients and families in accordance with the scope of the RN asdefined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Plan, provide and document professional nursing care, utilizingthe nursing process, in accordance with physician orders andestablished policies and procedures under the supervision of theteam leader or charge nurse. Delegate tasks and supervise the activities of other licensedand unlicensed care providers. Assist other healthcare personnel in the delivery of patientcare. Participate in maintaining the environment of care includingequipment and material resources. Prioritize work organization andidentify resources available to assist in completing components ofcare in a timely manner. Participate in own professional development by maintainingrequired competencies, identifying learning needs and seekingappropriate assistance or educational offerings. Support the development of other staff and formallearners. Participate in the identification of clinical or operationalperformance improvement opportunities and assist in performanceimprovement activities.
- What you can expect: Multitask in myriad ways
- document assessments, plan of care,interventions, evaluation and re-evaluation of patient status,access nursing needs of acute and chronically ill patients,independently seek out resources and work collaboratively.

- What you will need: Graduation from an accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (orhigher) OR Associate’s Degree in Nursing OR Nursing Diplomaprogram.
